Supergiant Games’ Transistor hits PS4 next year

Transistor GameplayNot only has Sony’s PS4 proven itself to be the console to grab this holiday season, it’s also fully embraced the power of the indie game market. Indie games have quickly risen to the top, besting even the greatest AAA games. Sony has tapped into that potential, and for very good reason. One of the game’s highlighted at Sony’s Press Conference was Transistor, Supergiant Games’ next amazing game.

Transistor takes place in a futuristic city called Cloudbank. All’s not right with the world, however, and the city’s most influential voices are vanishing. It’s up to a powerful young woman named Red to fight back the evil forces and reclaim what’s most precious.

Supergiant Games, maker of the widely popular game Bastion, have gone above and beyond with Transistor, merging action-packed gameplay with a strategic layer that lets you dictate the pace of battle.  The experience will feel all-too familiar, in both the gameplay and the beautiful hand-drawn visuals, yet incorporate a new, distinct feel.

Transistor looks utterly amazing and one game I can’t wait to play.  If you’re looking for a fresh, new experience unlike any other, this might just be it. Transistor will be available for the PS4 next year. Stay tuned!
