After verbally masturbating about the power of its just announced Xbox One X console, Microsoft kicked off the video games portion of its E3 2017 press conference with the purr of motorized chariots. Thus, one of gaming’s worst kept secrets — Forza Motorsport 7 — became real, made our jaws drop and was given a release date.
Designed to run best in 4K resolution on the Xbox One X, Forza 7 looks like a simulation racer’s dream game. Not only is it stunningly gorgeous, but the engine that powers it is sure to leave an impression.
Thus far, Turn 10 has announced a mammoth roster of seven hundred cars, in addition to thirty different environments and a whopping 200 track configurations for players to speed through. This complements a dynamic weather system that not only changes between races, but also mid-event, as well as realistic puddles that form and get bigger as the rain drops continue to fall.
Look for Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 3, 2017.
