Left Alive gets a March release date

Today, Square Enix announced an official release date for a new IP, that being Left Alive. As such, we now know that the survival action shooter will be released this winter.

Created by veteran game developers, Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Xenoblade Chronicles X), Left Alive tells a dark and gritty story of survival from the perspective of three different protagonists as they struggle to escape the war-torn city.

Those who purchase the game’s physical Day One Edition will entitle themselves to a bonus, in the form of the ‘Survival Pack’ DLC. This will offer an ammo pack, light body armor, a recovery pack, a weapon and a grenade.

Moving on, there will also be a swanky and expensive collector’s edition of Left Alive, which is dubbed the Mech Edition. It is currently available for pre-order through Square Enix’s online store, and will set you back a whopping $159.99 USD. What you’ll get for that money is:

  • The Day One Edition of the game which includes the full game, and the Day One ‘Survival Pack’ DLC
  • Volk Action Figure – specially designed by Takayuki Yanase, which features interchangeable accessories, weapons and hands
  • Hardback Art Collection – 80-page artbook
  • Exclusive Steelbook Case – featuring mech designs from creators Yoji Shinkawa and Takayuki Yanase
  • Collector’s Box

Left Alive will be released on March 5th, and can currently be pre-ordered through PSN or Steam. Both stores will offer exclusive bonuses, such as platform specific themes.
