Ahead of its impending release, Double Fine’s Psychonauts 2 debuted a very strange and oddly colourful launch trailer at gamescom. Said video ended up being one of the highlights of what was a pretty eventful Xbox presser.
Yes, the long-awaited sequel to 2005’s cult classic, Psychonauts, is finally set to release! Fans of the original have waited ‘a long time’ for this, and they’re about to be very excited. We’ve gone hands on with the first several hours of Psychonauts 2, and can confirm that it’s incredible. Hell, it’s one of the best games we’ve played in some time!
Psychonauts 2 has a listed release date of August 25, 2021, meaning it’s supposed to release tomorrow. However, Microsoft’s verbeage suggests that it has already launched. Either way, this is going to be a great week for fans of quirky 3D platformers.
