As rumoured, the new head of Xbox (Asha Sharma) looked into the company’s pricing structure for its Game Pass subscription services and made some changes. The first (or only) changes were announced today, through the Xbox Wire.
In the post, Xbox confirmed that it is dropping the monthly prices of both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Ultimate will go from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, while PC will drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Of course, all of these prices are in American dollars. We have yet to see any regional changes, but they were hinted at in the blog post.
They also revealed that future Call of Duty titles will not join Game Pass right at launch. Instead, they’ll be added to the service during the following holiday season (about a year later).
This is mostly good news for those who were affected by the massive price increase, and voiced their frustration. It does come with a drawback though.
