I’m not really too sure what to think about the Casby’s. On one hand, they are all about Canadian artists, and they certainly deliver, without a doubt, but the show seems to be run by a bunch of high school students that are really good at what they do. That may be all well and good for high school performances, but when you put on a show at a concert venue and have major sponsors, you should really give a good show, and that just isn’t the case here.

The performances were alright, the main highlight being Metric who closed off the show, but it just felt like an over-boozed night of smashed bodies at the Kool Haus. Can’t say I was impressed. I left early. Either way, I did manage to get some half-decent photographs of folks like Jay from Bedouin Soundclash, illScarlett, and Matthew Good, among others. Decided to do this shoot mostly Black and White. Enjoy!
